Kori Ross from Detroit, MI, has been dancing and competing since age 9. In 1996 Kori received a two year apprentice scholarship to study Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, an opportunity that has given her the foundation to be a professional dancer. For the past ten years Kori has been a dance educator and national award winning choreographer. This is her 6th year on faculty with us. Kori is on staff at many studios doing choreography, companies, and teaching classes. Kori has choreographed many small groups for us, as well as the top National Premier solo - 'Spine".
Noble Bradley began dancing in 2001 at LeFlore High School with Moving Images Dance Company. In 2002, Noble danced in the opening of Americas Junior Miss Program. Noble received Tremaine's senior male dancer of the year award in 2004, where he joined Tremaine's traveling dance company. In 2005, he performed as a principal dancer in a play written and choreographed by Debbie Allen shown in Washington D.C. Noble has won numerous awards including "Mr.West Coast Dance Explosion" for the Gulf Coast Area. He graduated from Dillard University in 2008 with a B.S. in Biology. This is his 12th year with RSD.
Sloan Shelton is the daughter of owner Kelly Robinson and granddaughter of Lynn Robinson. She has been dancing since the age of two. She has travelled all over the United States assisting with dance competitions and conventions. She graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City with a B.F.A.in dance. Sloan had been assistant teaching since 7th grade. She is moving here from Las Vegas, Nevada where she was a lead dancer and aerialist for Criss Angel in the production "Amystika".
Lynn Sanders Robinson - Founder studied in New York City, performing at the World's Fair and the Brigham Young University. Mrs. Robinson performed with the Mobile Theater Guild and was choreographer for the First Theater Company of the Deep South. She served as a judge in the Junior Miss Program all over the state and was choreographer for the Escambia County Jr Miss and the Miss University of Mobile pageant. Mrs. Robinson is a member of Dance Educators of America, passing examinations to become a member.
Kelly Robinson is the directress and current owner of Robinson's School of Dance in Saraland and Bayou La Batre and holds a B.S. from the University of Mobile in Education. This is her 43rd year of teaching. She studied at the University of Southern Mississippi, was Captain of the Dixie Darlings, & a member of the Southern Misses Basketball dance team. She has won numerous awards for performance and choreography through the Southeast. Miss Kelly started the "Kickin' Cane" dance program at Alma Bryant High School from 1998-2014 where she retired to run Robinson's School Of Dance.
Wyticia Hart has been a member of Robinson's School of Dance since age eight. Wy graduated from Bryant High School as a Kickin' Cane Dancer. She was the assistant choreographer while at Bryant for four years.Wy has been involved in many competitions with Robinson's School of Dance since a very young age.
Sheila Ward Goodrich has been a student and a teacher at RSD since 1972. She graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Health Science and a Physical Education degree from University of South Alabama. She became highly qualified in Dance Education in 1990. She taught dance at LeFlore High School for 5 years, and Dunbar Magnet School for 28 years. Her daughter, Allie Goodrich died in 2007 and was a Lynn Robinson Dancer and we have a scholarship in her name, it is given each year to an Outstanding Company Member.
Kristen Burton has been dancing since she was 18 months old and was a part of The Lynn Robinson Dancers for 13 years. Krissy was an assistant teacher at North Mobile Christian for years. This is her third year she has been teaching classes on Thursdays on her own.
Joelle Zoghby is from Mobile, Alabama. She began her dance training at Debbie's school of dance at age 12. In 2012, she joined Debbie's competitive team where she competed for 10 years. She is currently a student at the University of South Alabama majoring in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy and Medicine. This will be her fourth year as a member of the South Alabama Prowlers dance team. She is also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.
Cricket Clevenger is a native of Mobile, AL. she has been dancing since she was 2 years old at the Hurley, Ms. branch of RSD. She has trained at Robinson's for 20 years. Cricket competed with the West Mobile and Saraland RSD teams until she was 22. At age 13 she began being an assistant teacher, teaching her own classes at 16. She attended Alma Bryant High School with Miss Kelly and was a member of The Kickin' Cane Dancers. After graduating in 2006, she attended West Alabama and majored in Elementary Ed. She has taught at multiple studios and is excited to be a part of the RSD team.
Kaven Hill is from Oneonta, AL. He graduated from high school in May 2020. He currently attends the University of South Alabama and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). He is a former cheerleader and was recently a gymnastics coach at Nasser Gymnastics Academy. He is excited to share his tumbling knowledge with RSD this year.
Chassitie Smith a true dance enthusiast began her dance journey at Robinson's School Of Dance, at the age of seven. Twenty years on, she shows no signs of stopping. By the time she was 15, she was already assisting in teaching at the renowned dance convention Company Dance, working alongside industry heavyweights. Following her graduation from Alma Bryant High School, Chassitie continued to dance, becoming a part of the dance team at Troy University's Sound of the South marching band. Her dancing prowess didn't stop there- in 2006, she clinched the national title of Miss VIP at the National VIP Dance Competition in Panama City, Florida. Beyond the dance studio Chassitie is a nurse. However, dance continues to hold a significant place in her life.
